Butch Pale Ale
Butch is a craft beer that really doesn’t neatly fit into a specific category. It falls between an American Pale Ale and India Pale Ale, but not quite like either. More importantly, this is plain and simple, a good beer. It has a wonderful American hop aroma and flavor – not too much, not too little, with just enough malt flavors to balance, and finishes medium-dry – great for quenching your thirst. Try it with curry, Thai cuisine, and peppery cheeses: Monterey & Pepper Jack, sharp; blue, cheddar, pungent; Gorgonzola, Limburger; poultry, fish, shellfish, salmon. 5.7% ABV, 96 IBUs. Serve at 42F – 47F in a snifter glass.
