First! We need volunteers to help with canning this Wednesday, 2/8/17. We really need 4 people, so if you are able to help, please email me at email@example.com. We will start about 10 AM and should finish around 3 or 4 PM and will be canning Cherry Saison. Thanks in advance!

Very exciting, our Doc’s Porter just won the bronze medal for American Porter in the Beer Wars commercial beer competition recently held in Charlotte, NC.
On Monday, February 13th, Nate (one of our wonderful taproom employees) has something special planned, but won’t tell us what. Knowing Nate it will be quite fun. So if you’re into celebrating Valentine’s Day early, stop in and see what he has cooked up!
Yes, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if you’re looking for something special for that special someone, we do sell beer! You can get gift certificates, six packs (especially our Cherry Saison – see the picture below – it’s red, like a Valentine) and Kristy is contemplating special packaging for Black Saddle. PLUS, on Valentine’s Day we’ll be having a special Trivia Night with our own two lovebirds, Dion and Nate, to serve you.
February 17th we will be hosting our first ever “Guest Bartender” night. Guest Bartender night will feature a local celebrity as your bartender for the evening and support a local charity. On February 17th our mayor, Bob Muckle, has graciously agreed to be our first Guest Bartender and the evening will support our neighbors, Community Food Share. For every beer sold while Bob is pouring beer, we will donate $1 to Community Food Share. Every dollar turns into three meals, so each beer you enjoy will feed one person for a day. Please join us. Mayor Buckle will be with us from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on the 17th. Don’t miss it!
The next couple weeks will be very exciting. We’ll be doing several collaborations in the brewery. We’re getting ready for Collaboration Fest (March 25th) and have teamed up with our dear friend, Ian Clark from BRU Handbuilt Ales for this festival. We’ll be brewing a collaboration with good friend, Andy Riedel from Open Door Brewing. This beer is being brewed to celebrate the opening of their new taproom opening soon in Longmont, Colorado. And we’ll be brewing a collaboration with our friends at Toast Wine & Spirits. This beer will be aged in a ? barrel Toast has provided for us, so won’t be ready for some months. Plus, we will doing a collaboration with Total Beverage Westminster using Stranahan and Buffalo Trace barrels. Of course, this brew won’t be available for several months either.
We are slowly but surely moving ahead with our downtown Louisville taproom. Our dream is that we will open by April. If you would like to help us make this dream a reality, please consider joining our CSBC Old Towne Taproom Club. It is only $100 and includes a $50 beer credit in either taproom, an invitation to a preopening party at the new taproom with free beer and food, updates on our progress, VIP status for future events special releases and more – plus you’ll know you are helping us get this new venue open.
