Garage Bar & Charity Golf Tournament

Hi There,

Good afternoon.  Pretty smoky outside – apparently Denver is having some of the worst air quality in the world.  Hopefully, it will get better soon and they’ll get the fires under control.  Not the happiest news to start this newsletter with, but it is what it is.  On to happier things.

After many setbacks and impediments, we will be celebrating the garage bar opening this Saturday, August 14, 2021, starting at noon.  It has been quite the adventure to get it operational, but I’m greatly looking forward to it and I’ll be there for sure.  I’m quite certain Kristy will too and, if I know her (which I do), she’ll have it appropriately decorated and some ideas to make it an incredible event.

We’re getting there!  We’ve been brewing beer like crazy and now have seven beers on tap plus our mango radler and a few bottled beers we can pour.  This week we’re brewing more Blood Orange and (stay calm) 30 bbls of our seasonal Oktoberfest.  Having the 60 bbl fermenter is helping a lot!

Part of our mantra is to do all we can do to give back to our community and state.  Normally, each year we donate to several different charities, but this past year has been a tough one, and it has been difficult to do as much as we’d like. So, we’re quite pleased to announce that we will be sponsoring a charity golf tournament, on September 16th, with the proceeds going to The Ramble Collective, a nonprofit social organization that seeks to turn disabilities into possibilities. Our innovative, community-based programs create pathways to purpose and community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We provide valuable on-the-job training programs and job placement assistance at Ramble On Pearl and soon-to-be Ramble Marketplace. We also support projects that make affordable housing accessible to adults with IDD and offer programs that help them thrive in independent community-based housing. You can read more about Ramble On Pearl and Ramble Marketplace here and more about the charity and their mission here.  Please check our social media outlets for more information:  FacebookInstagram and Twitter.

In just a few weeks, we’ll be picking up Pueblo chili peppers from Di Tomaso Farms in Pueblo and brewing Solano again.  More on that later.

Technically speaking, beer is a solution

Cheers, Tom
